Robyn's Fetish Challenge - Across the "Border"

Happy Friday!  Welcome to another Robyn's Fetish challenge.  Hope you had a great week!  I know I am glad it's Friday!

This week's challenge is to use borders in your creation.  There are so many tools to use to make borders - paper punches, ribbon, stickers, possibilities are endless!

To enter the challenge, create a new project with at least one border.  You may use any images, but if you have any Robyn's Fetish images, why not show them some love.  There may be a freebie in store for you over at the challenge blog.  You can also visit the store to purchase a few images. :) Leave a link to your project (not to your entire blog) to the comments section at the challenge blog.

Here is my card:

I made this card for my godmother for Mother's Day, who loves cats!  Too Kewl Kitty was too adorable to not make the card. :) She also loves the color purple.

Supplies:
Bazzil cardstock
Basic Grey designer paper and buttons
Copics
May Arts twine and purple ribbon
Martha Stewart punch for the border
Nestabilities labels die-cuts
Hero Arts sentiments, inked with Memento ink

Tellen's Place Wednesday Challenge - Flowers

Happy Wednesday!  It's time for another challenge from Tellen's Place!  I can't believe April is just about over!  Where has the time gone?!

Just in time for Mother's Day, this week's challenge is flowers!  Your creation should have at least one flower.  So bring on the flowers - paper, felt, designed on paper, whatever!

To enter the challenge, create a new project using flowers.  You may use any image you like, but if you have any Tellen's Place images, why not show them some love. There may be a freebie for you to use this week on the challenge blog. :)  Or head on over to the store to see the images available for purchase. Add a direct link of your creation (not your whole blog) to Mr. Linky on the challenge blog.

Here is my card for the challenge:

I chose Mandy for the image.  Isn't she cute with all the flowers?

Cardstock is from Bazzil.  Designer paper is from Cosmo Cricket.  Love the two sided paper with the different flowers!  The ribbon is leftover wrapping from an Easter gift my daughter got from her aunt and uncle. :)  So many people have done the ribbon folding, so I gave it a try and winged it.  Turned out pretty good after a lot of glue. :)  The paper flowers are from Hero Arts.  The orange stick on pearls are from Michaels.  I used Copics to color Mandy.  Mandy was cut, using my Nestabilities large rectangle and large rectangle scallop die-cuts.  I added some orange glitter to Mandy's flowers, using my At You Spica orange pen.  I used my Sakura glitter pen for the scallop border.

Here is my first card for RF's relaunch, using Penelope Puppy, which you can purchase at the store!

Tellen's Place Wednesday Challenge - Ink Distressing

Happy Wednesday!  Welcome to another Tellen's Place Weekly Challenge!  This week's challenge is ink distressing!  Ink distressing is another way of saying "ink edging."  It is a great way to add more accent to your creations and makes something new look like something old.

To be eligible to win the challenge, your creation must have a Tellen's Place image. If you don't have a Tellen's Place image, the challenge blog will have freebies you can use.  Be sure to leave a link to your creation to the challenge blog to Mr. Linky.  Also while you are at the challenge blog, be sure to stop by the store.  There are some new images available for purchase, as well as Terry's fab card and mini album kits.

Below is my card:

Two of my friends are expecting baby boys later on this year.  The image I used was perfect for the card I made and will make for my two friends.

Supplies:
Bazzil cardstock
Bo Bunny designer paper
Copic markers: E39, E00, R20, G21 and B97
Nestabilities petite oval and petite oval scallop die-cuts
Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder
Martha Stewart scallop punch
May Arts ribbon
The Robin's Nest dew drops
Hero Arts sentiment
Memento Rich Cocoa ink (distressed edges of designer paper and the image)

Tellen's Place Challenge - ATCs!

Happy Wednesday!  Welcome to another challenge from Tellen's Place.  This week's challenge is to create ATCs.  What are ATCs?  For those of you who are not familiar, ATC stands for Artist Trading Cards.  These cards are created in dimensions of 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" and can either be duplicated or created differently to trade with other people.  A fun way to learn new techniques and great keepsakes.

To qualify to win, you must use a Tellen's Place image in your ATC.  When finished, submit the link to your entry to good ol' Mr. Linky on our challenge blog.

This was my first time creating ATCs and I had so much fun making them, along with the cute ATC wallet that DT member Lyn created.  Below are my ATCs with the ATC wallet:

Supplies:
Bazzil cardstock,  My Mind's Eye's Quite Contrarydesigner paper, Copics, stick on gems from Michaels, ribbon from my stash

Dedication To A Compassionate Person

Sadly, I found out this week that my friend passed away unexpectedly.  She had such a love for life and compassion for others.  She had touched so many lives and will be missed.

My card for entry to challenges for La-La Land Crafts and Cute Card Thursday was originally going to be a birthday card for my friend.  I thought about not finishing the card after hearing about her passing, but I know she would have wanted me to complete my card for a different purpose.  I decided to give the card to her mom for her to have in her daughter's memory.

La-La Land's challenge was to create something using any image from their store and use the sketch below created by DT member Lisa Hjulberg:

Cute Card Thursday is called "Mono Mania." Entry should focus on one main color.  I chose pink, as this was my friend's favorite color.

Here is my card for both challenges:

I used LaLa with Rose, since she resembles so much of my friend.  I used the following Copic colors to color La-La:

E35, E00, RV34, R20, B45, YG63, W1 and the colorless blender

Cardstock is from Bazzil.  Designer paper is from My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary collection.  I used my Cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder for the front of the card and the background frame for La-La.  I cut the frame and La-La using my Nestabilties petitie oval and petitie oval scallop die cuts.  The designer paper was cut, also using my Nestabilities small circle and small circle scallop die cuts.  The sentiment is from Just Rite, stamped using Versa Color Opera Pink ink.  Ribbon is from May Arts.  Pearl on La-La's dress is from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by.

"Check" It Out - Two Challenges

I am combining two challenges, which are pretty fun.  I participated in the Penny Black Saturday Challenge and Mojo Mondays.

For this week's Penny Black Saturday Challenge, the challenge is "check it out."  Creation should have something with checkard prints such as paper or ribbon.

Here is the sketch I used for this week's Mojo Monday's challenge:

Here is my card for both challenges:

Cardstock is from Bazzil.  Designer paper is from Basic Grey's new collection kioshi.  The image is from Penny Black's In The Garden collection.  Ribbon is from May Arts.  The pearls are from my stash.

The image was cut, using my Nestabilities petitie oval and petite oval scallop.  I used my Sakura glitter pen to add some sparkle to the frame of the image. I colored the image with the following Copic colors:

C5, R20, Y3, Y11, Y15, R37 and the colorless blender

Tellen's Place Wednesday Challenge - All About Me!

Happy Wednesday!  Welcome to another challenge from Tellen's Place.  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

This week's challenge is "All About Me!"  It is up to you what you would like to create.  Make something that is reflective of who you are.  The only thing asked is that there must be a Tellen's Place design in your creation - past or present.  If you don't have any images, head on over to the store to purchase an image or two or to the challenge blog to see past freebie images to grab.  Be sure to leave a link to your creation on the challenge blog to Mr. Linky.

Owner Terry had her son Markus create look alike designs of all the team members, which turned out awesome! I wanted to create something with my image that wasn't a card.  Below is what I created with my image:

Markus did such a great job with my image.  I don't own a pogo stick nor have I ever been on one, but I love how the whole idea reflects who I am - active.  Active wife and an active mom. :)

The wood frame is from Michaels' dollar bin. :)  I used ink pads from Tim Holtz distress ink collection to color the frame - worn lipstick and dusty concord. The letters are also from Tim Holtz, made of "grungeboard," wonderful material that is flexible and can stand any kind of altering, such as sanding, cutting and inking.  I used the same color ink for the letters and added some Stickles glitter glue - fruit punch to the word "active."  The foam flowers are from Createology.

I colored my image with the following Copic colors:

W3, E39, E00, R20, V15, R37 and the colorless blender

Be sure to check out the other design team's designs. Markus did a super job with their designs as well:

Paper Piecing Fun!

This week's La-La Land Crafts's Wednesday Challenge is paper piecing.  I love paper piecing.  Takes me back to when I was a little girl and was into paper dolls.  I liked cutting out all the outfits and placing them on the dolls and role playing. :)

Below is my card with Sweet La-La

Brown and red cardstock is from Bazzil.  The designer paper is from Basic Grey, which I used on Sweet La-La's background, her dress and the flowers cut out on the bottom of the card.  The red cardstock was embossed with my Cuttlebug Floral Fantasy embossing folder.  The border on the bottom of the card was punched out, using my Martha Stewart scallop punch.  The red and brown ribbon is from May Arts.  The corners were punched with my EK Success punch.  Sweet La-La's background was cut out using my Nestabilities large circle and large circle scallop die-cuts.

Sweet La-La was colored using the following Copic colors:

E00, E33, E35, R20, RV34, R35, E39
