A Simple Kind of Recipe

This week’s La-La Land Crafts challenge is to use a "3-2-1 recipe." I find recipes to be a great challenge! This one gave me a good opportunity to go through all my paper crafting supplies to use what I have on hand.

The 3-2-1 recipe was created by Maureen Wong, one of the Design Team Members for La-La Land Crafts. The recipe goes like this:

3 designer papers
2 colors of cardstock
1 type of embellishment

Below is my entry:

E00, R59, G94, RV32, E33, E35, and the colorless blender

So thankful....

I have a lot to be thankful for. My health, my wonderful husband and daughter, my family and old and new friends have made my life fulfilling. The challenges I did for this week are around being thankful and I am not only thankful, but blessed.

Below are the challenges I did this week:

1) La-La Land Crafts - Entry should have a thankful/thank you theme. A wonderful collection of blog candy is up for grabs!

2) Magnolia-licious Highlites - Accessories Make the Card Blog Hop. Use any Magnolia accessory stamp ONLY, no Tilda, Edwin, animals, snowmen, etc.

Below is my entry:

I had a hard time picking out a Magnolia accessory stamp; there are so many cute stamps! I decided to go with the tree, which I love and went with a fall kind of theme.

The brown and red cardstock is from Core'dinations. The background paper is from The Paper Loft. I used the following Copic colors for the tree:

E07, YR23, YG63, and E57. Also used At You Spica pens red and gold.

The sentiment is from Inkadinkado's So Thankful stamp set, stamped with Memento's Potter's Clay ink. I used my Nestie small scallop circle for the sentiment. The red pearls on the sentiment are from my stash. The brown leaf felt ribbon is from Queen and Company with Hero Arts rhinestones. The green woven ribbon is from May Arts.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Christmas For the Guys!

This week’s Penny Black Saturday Challenge is titled "Christmas for the Guys." Basically, making something in Christmas fashion that has a masculine theme.

The dog is from Penny Black's Holly Day Critters collection, cut out with my Nestie label die-cut and colored with the following Copic colors:

R37, C5, YG63 and the colorless blender

I also added a little bit of glitter with my Sakura pen.
