Sweet Dreams...

I am enjoying the nice long weekend, too bad the weekend will be ending soon.  I have had some time to doodle in projects here and there and with birthdays and anniversaries coming up, I definitely had my thinking cap on for some new cards and other projects.

I am participating in this week's Chi Chi Memories (CCM) sketch challenge.  Natalie (owner of CCM) always has great challenging sketches to play around with.  And her designs are just too cute!  And...there is a chance to win free images too!  How great is that??

Along with making a couple of birthday cards using her images, I created this sweet card using images from the CCM good night babies set.  The cute girl reminds me so much of my daughter Olivia. :)

Below is the sketch and my card for the challenge:

Supplies:
Making Memories designer paper
Prima flowers
pink stick on gems from my stash
CCM good night baby and sentiment colored with Copics RV32, E00, E33, W3 and the colorless blender

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy the rest of your week!

I Did It Creations - Cute Cute Cute!

Got a fun challenge this week at I Did It Creations!  First off, thank you to those who participated in the fancy folds challenge. Lots of inspiration to make different cards and not just the simple once fold card. :)

This week's challenge is all about cute!  When I think cute, I think of my daughter, who is just the cutest!  It is so much fun dressing her up in dresses and doing her hair (when she lets me).

So get out your creative papers, embellishments and come up with something cute!

Our sponsor this week is JLJ Designs who has the "cutest" images.  Click here to check them out!

Read below for the rules on entering the challenge as they have been modified:

All entries are eligible to be in the draw for one digi image of your choice from the challenge sponsor. If the winner has used an image from the challenge sponsor the prize will be a $5.00 coupon.

Each week the images used by the DT will be available upon request as a freebie to use in the challenge. Please email jeanette_wtrs@yahoo.com with Freebie Request on the subject line.

Add the link to your project to the challenge blog by Thursday, August 12th midnight EST.

A Spring In My Step

After battling stomach flu all weekend, it was great to get back into doing my paper crafts.  One of the challenges I wanted to do is from La-La Land Crafts.  This week's challenge is to use pastel colors in your entry. I was excited to use their new digi images from their new Easter collection that having the stomach flu wasn't going to stop me from participating!

Below is my card for the challenge:

The pink cardstock is from Bazzil.  The designer paper is from My Mind's Eye. I used my emery board to rough up the edges of the designer paper.

I used La-La Land Craft's Easter Bunny image for the card and colored the bunny with the following Copic colors:

YR0000, V0000, YG0000, R20 and W00

The sentiment is from Hero Arts, inked with Versa Color petal pink ink.  The sentiment was cut using my Nestabilities petitie scallop oval.  I added some sparkle with my Sakura glitter pen.The ribbon is from May Arts.  The pink butterfly is from Prima.

Don't Worry Be Happy!

I am combining challenges again this week. This week's challenges are:

1) Copic Colour Challenge - Below are this week's colors to use:

2) Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Song Title/Lyrics - Entry should be reflected on a song title or lyrics to a song.

Below is my entry:

"Don't Worry Be Happy" - by Bobby McFerrin

"Don't Worry Be Happy" was one of my favorite songs growing up. No matter what mood I was in, that song would just make the rest of my day brighter.

The cardstock is from my stash, punched out with my Martha Stewart punch. The background paper is from Bo Bunny. I used Penny Black's Fresh New Day images stamped on Neenah paper, using my Nestabilities small petite scallop oval shape. The images were colored with the following Copics:

The challenge colors plus Y17, YR23, Y38 and the colorless blender

The buttons are from Fancy Pants. The flowers are from Prima. I used my Just Rite font stamps for the title of the song, stamped on Neenah paper surrounded by the small circle scallop Nestie with a bit of Sakura glitter. The woven ribbon is from May Arts.

C3, C5, R37, YG99 (for challenge colors)
0, B12, RV02

I used my Nestabilities large and scallop rectangles to cut the cardstock for the critter. I used my Sakura glitter pen for the scallop rectangle. The pearls are from Hero Arts.

Enjoying Life Within A Sketch

This week's Penny Black Saturday Challenge was using one of the DT member's sketches. Domi made such a wonderful and challenging sketch that it took me a long time to figure out where to start! Below is the sketch and my entry:

All of the cardstock, background paper, buttons, adhesive borders and rub-ons were from Basic Grey's Marrakech collection. Cardstock and background paper were distressed with Memento Rich Cocoa ink. Circles were cut using my Nestie large circle and large circle scallop dies. I used PB's Teddy and Company image, coloring with the following Copic markers:

E57, YG23, BV00, R35, Y17, B45, E33 with the colorless blender

The flower is from Prima. The eyelets and twine are from my personal stash.

Sweet and Sketchy

Almost forgot about the Copic Colour Challenge and Penny Black Saturday Challenge!

This week, Copic Colour is taking a break from the colors and decided to do a sketch from one of the Design Team members Maddy. Below is the sketch to use and my entry:

Since Penny Black's theme this week is "soft and sweet," I used their "any which way" stamps. The Copics I used were the colorless blender with W3 and R20. The flowers were colored with R37, the leaves with YG67. I used Cuttlebug's swiss dots for the pink decoration. I used Prima Flowers for the florish and Creative Imaginations paper lace adhesive ribbon. Paper was left over from my stash.
