A New Design For A Birthday Greeting

This week's La-La Land Crafts' challenge is to create a birthday themed project.  Instead of just doing another card, I thought I would try something different.

Here is my entry - a party hat tag with Pepper With Cake:

I couldn't find my mini stand, so I had to photograph the tag lying flat on one of my kitchen stools.  Took the picture a couple of times, but still ended up with a little more light than I wanted. :(

Supplies:
Bazzil orange cardstock
Imaginisce designer paper
Best Creations designer paper (all the sentiments)
Party hat was cut using my Cricut Cuttin' Up cartridge (measures about 5")
Pepper was cut out using my Nestabilities petitie oval and petitie oval scallop
Pepper is doning a hat cut out from the Imaginisce designer paper and colored with the following Copic colors: E33, E35, R37, B23, C5 and the colorless blender

Thanks for stopping by!

Winter Wonderland

I am doing two challenges this week with a Christmas theme to it. Can't seem to get enough of the holiday. :)

Below are the challenges I am participating in this week:

1) Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Winter Wonderland. Part of their Christmas Countdown Blog Hop. An amazing aray of prizes to win, plus a fun Christmas themed quiz. :)

2) Copic Colour Challenge #40 - Below are the challenge colors to use:

Below is my entry in two parts. You will see why:

Shadow box cards have become a popular layout for a card so I thought why not? The tutorial is from Dawn Griffith, whom I follow her video blogs. She is a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and makes incredible cards and other paper crafts. Click here to see her tutorial. Very simple!

The cardstock is from Imaginisce polar expressions, cut out using my Nestabilities small oval scallop. The PB critters are from The Wonder stamp collection. I colored them with the following Copic colors:

RV34, YG0000 (in place of the CCC challenge colors), E33,and the At You Spica pink and lemon pens. The white swirl felt ribbon is from Queen and Company.
