Copic Colour Challenge #18

It's time for another Copic Colour Challenge. Below are this week's colors:
Once again, I have two out of the three colors. :) Here is my entry:

I took a break from Penny Black critters and used the Penny Black Dash stamp. I used BG05 for the pants with a little of the colorless blender. For the jacket, I used YG63 (pea green) for the jacket and R37 (carmine) for the stripes on the shirt. I used E35 (charmois) for the belt and shoes. Dash's face was colored with E00 (skin white) with some RV32 (shadow pink) for the cheeks. Dash's hair was a mix of Y15 and Y17 (golden yellow). I used Memento dark cocoa to add some distress on the edge of the paper. Marvy Uchida's corner rounder was used to round the corners.
I forgot the company that has the gold cardstock - loved it, bought it and ran out of the store without checking the company name. :) The embossing is from Cuttlebug's traffic jam design. I used My Mind's Eye Free Bird My Friend paper for the red strip with buttons from Fancy Pants Summer Soiree.

Copic Colour Challenge #17

It's another Copic Colour Challenge! Below are the colors to use for the week:
The good thing is that I have two out of the three colors to be used!

Below is my entry:

I learned how to do a sponging technique in a recent card class, which I did for the background, using Memento Ink desert sand. The stamp and sentiment is from the Penny Black flower gallery. I used RV11, BV04, and Y17 (golden yellow) for the flowers and YG67 (moss) for the leaves. I used the colorless blender (love the blender) to add some different shades to the flowers. I added some sparkle to the flowers, using the At You Spica pens orange, olive and black. The pink lace is from Creative Imaginations paper lace collection.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Happy 1st Birthday

This week's Penny Black challenge is in celebration of the blog's 1st birthday! I love celebrating occasions; just celebrating an event in someone's life is so wonderful!

I have lots of family and friends who did either celebrate a birthday, graduation or a milestone recenlty Luckily for this week's challenge, I have a couple of cards that I made recently that I can use. :) So I decided to use this card that was for a friend of mine for her birthday that I posted recently. A very simple card:

Outside and inside of card:

I used the Penny Black stamp"...your birthday" (love the critter) and the sentiments collection for the happy birthday phrasing and the dotted circles (colored by Colorbox colors orange and red). For the colors of the critter, I used Copic Markers E33 (Sand), E35 (chamois), RV13 (tender pink) and the colorless blender. The present and the icing of the cake was in R37 (carmine), which is starting to become my favorite red color. RV13 was used again for the first layer of icing on the cake. I used Y17 (golden yellow) for the cake color and lighting of the candle with a little bit of the orange "at you spica" pen. :)

Happy Birthday to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge Blog. Thanks for letting me be part of the group and for sharing your creative ideas!

Thanks for stopping by!

Copic Colour Challenge #16

My love for the Copic markers just got bigger as I have joined the Copic Colour Challenge blog. Each week, three colors are chosen to make whatever you want. As long as you are close with the colors, you can enter.

This week's colors are:

Here is my entry:

I used the Hero Arts Birds and Branches stamp set and used the colors RV11 (pink), E37 (sepia), and Y15(cadmium yellow). For the circles and circle scallops, I used the Spellbinders Nestabilities, which I LOVE! The ribbon is from a set from Ottvan that had red and brown tones.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge Week 52 - Blooming Gorgeous

This week's Penny Black Saturday challenge is all about blooming. After looking through the cards the creators made and looking outside my kitchen windows at the beautiful sky, I came up with this card:

I just got the Basic Grey Marrakech paper and thought it would be great to use for this challenge. The pattern is called "Masala Bella," beautiful name. The flowers are from Prima Flowers's Mento Pastel collection. I used my Spellbinder Nesties circle and circle scallop for the Penny Black Bubbly critters. The sentiment is from the Penny Black Sentiments collection. The critters were colored using Copic markers R37 (carmine), C3 (cool grey #3), E35 (chamois) and RV32 (shadow pink). The flowers were colored with Y17 (golden yellow) with sparkle from the At You Spica Lemon pen. The grass color was from a Copic marker I bought recently YG63 (pea green). I think this may be my new shade of green. :)

Father's Day Cards

Why do I have the hardest time finding masculine looking paper for my paper crafts? After looking through my favorite blog sites, I went to a couple of my favorite scrapbook stores and got some paper and Father's Day stamps. I went to the stores with an open mind and a bunch of ideas. Below are three cards I ended up making with the supplies I got.

Father's Day Card #1

The paper is from My Mind's Eye - Jen Wilson's 29th St. Market Unique Shining Star/Molding Clay. The stamps are from Autumn Leaves - Father's Day by Sandi Krieger. I used the At You spica black pen to outline the star.

Father's Day Card #2

Father's Day Card #3

I used the DCWV assorted cards with the Hero Arts Happy Dad's Day stamp set for both cards. Love the stamp set!

I hope to have some more Father's Day cards completed before the week is up. Right now I am off to do a Copic marker challenge. :)

Penny Black Saturday Challenge Week 51 - A Sketch

This week's Penny Black Saturday Challenge is a great one! Using a sketch template and make something out of it. I was running into a rut on a new design for a card and this challenge was perfect.

It also gave me the opportunity to go out and get the Spellbinders Nestabilities petite oval and oval scallop shapes which I have been dying to get. Here is my entry:

The paper is from the Amuse collection called Madeira Red. I used the Penny Black Bubbly Transparent stamps for the sentiment and image. The critter colors are Copic markers W1 (warm gray), R37 (canine red), and RV13 (tender pink). I also got the new At You Spica pens chocolate and blossom to accent the cork and also used the Spica gold pen. The flowers were from the Making Memories Mixed Blossom set, which I am almost out of!
