Some Father's Day cards

I had such a busy week this week that it took me to the 9th hour to complete my Father's Day cards for my hubby, my father-in-law, my dad and my godfather.  It was great to do masculine cards, as I don't do enough of them in my opinion.

Graphic 45 has wonderful designer paper to fit in the masculine theme, which worked well with the cards I did below...pretty similar designs.

Thanks for stopping by!  Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there!

Tellen's Place Challenge - Father's Day

Happy Wednesday!  It's time for another Tellen's Place challenge!  Went on vacation with the family for a bit which was great.  It was nice to come home after a relaxing time.

This week's challenge is to celebrate all the fathers out there!  With Father's Day approaching on the 20th, it is appropriate to start thinking about what to do for the fathers out there, as well as what to create for them.  I know I am thinking about those things!

To be eligible to be a part of the challenge, your creation should reflect on Father's Day. You may use any image you like, but if you have any Tellen's Place images, show them some love. Please direct your link to your project (not the entire blog) to good ol' Mr. Linky on the challenge blog.  Deadline to enter is Tuesday, June 15th at noon PST.

Below is the card I created for my daughter to give to her daddy on Father's Day:

I have to admit that making cards with a masculine theme are tricky for me, but I find lots of inspiration, thanks to the wonderful ladies on the design team.  So don't worry if you have trouble - there is lots of inspiration out there!

Supplies:
Bazzil cardstock
My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary designer paper
Basic Grey buttons with May Arts twine
Jessica with bike was cut using my Nestabilities large scallop rectangle and large rectangle die-cuts.  I colored her with the following Copic colors:
 E00, E37, R37, B45, 100, Y17, W3 and the colorless blender
EK Success corner punch
Hero Arts sentiment inked with Memento Rich Cocoa ink

Be sure to visit the lovely ladies on the design team for inspiration and show them some love!

Father's Day Cards

I had a great Father's Day with both sides of the family. We had a great BBQ and everyone got to play with my daughter.
I was able to create a couple of gift card holders for Father's Day.
This one was made using Best Creation Inc. stars and stripes (GP270) paper. I love double-sided paper! The sentiment was from AMuse and I used the Neenah Solar White paper to have the sentiment stamped on in the labels one shape, thanks to my Spellbinders Nesties! I used buttons from the Fancy Pants Summer Soiree collection which I am almost out of. And finally I used Memento's rich cocoa ink to add some color to the edging of the card.

This card was made using Cosmo Cricket's Want S'More paper collection (Mr. Campy and Sleeping Stone). The image is from the AMuse stamps "putter" and "grass." How simple was that? I used Copic markers G17, E09, E35, E00, E07, the colorless blender and 100. I used Memento rich cocoa ink again to smudge the edges.
Thanks for stopping by!

Father's Day Cards

Why do I have the hardest time finding masculine looking paper for my paper crafts? After looking through my favorite blog sites, I went to a couple of my favorite scrapbook stores and got some paper and Father's Day stamps. I went to the stores with an open mind and a bunch of ideas. Below are three cards I ended up making with the supplies I got.

Father's Day Card #1

The paper is from My Mind's Eye - Jen Wilson's 29th St. Market Unique Shining Star/Molding Clay. The stamps are from Autumn Leaves - Father's Day by Sandi Krieger. I used the At You spica black pen to outline the star.

Father's Day Card #2

Father's Day Card #3

I used the DCWV assorted cards with the Hero Arts Happy Dad's Day stamp set for both cards. Love the stamp set!

I hope to have some more Father's Day cards completed before the week is up. Right now I am off to do a Copic marker challenge. :)
