It's Christmas Time...Again!

Another busy week for me. Only have time to do two challenges this week. Wish there were more hours in the day!

I am doing the Penny Black Saturday Challenge and the Copic Colour Challenge this week. This week's PB challenge is all about Christmas! Funny since I did a PB Christmas card not too long ago for a previous PB challenge.

Here are the Copic Colour Challenge colors for this week:

I don't own these colors, so I used different colors for my entry.

Below is my entry:

Cardstock is from my old blank card stash. Background paper is from Karen Foster Designs. I used PB's Holly Day critters stamps and colored them with R59, BG09 and E57 in place of the challenge colors. I also used RV32, Y17, E21, C3 and the colorless blender. I used my Nestie large rectangle for the image and sentiment and large rectangle scallop for my old stash of blue cardstock, adding in some sparkle dots from my Sakura gelly roll pen. I added some pearls from Hero Arts. Blue snowflake border is from Queen and Company.

Thanks for stopping by!

Introducing Sweet La La!

Been a rough week for me. Just getting over a cold and going through personal issues. It was great for me to get back into paper crafting. Such a great outlet for me when I hit the blues.

I am doing another combining of challenges this week. This week's Copic Colour Challenge features the following colors:

I am also participating in a new challenge for the company La-La Land Crafts! Irina Blount is a local Bay Area paper crafts teacher who decided to venture and start her own stamp company! Her creations by her designers are so adorable. It seemed like the perfect time with the Copic Colour Challenge colors to use one of her stamps. So here is my entry from the La-La Land Craft blog Wednesday challenge:

The first challenge for La-La Land Crafts is "Flower Power"! Must use at least one flower in the creation.

Meet Sweet La-La. She was colored with the Copic Colour Challenge colors plus the colorless blender (o), E00, RV32, and YG63. Cardstock is from my very old stash of paper. Background paper is the double-sided Bo Bunny Back to Basics, distressed with Memento Cantalope and Potter's Clay ink.. Flowers are from Prima. I used my Nesties large rectangle and large scallop rectangle for Sweet La-La and added some At You Spica gold dots. I added in a rub on from October Afternoon to Sweet La-La. The zig zag ribbon is from my old stash of ribbon.

Two challenges into one - Penny Black Saturday Challenge and Copic Colour Challenge

Finally got time to complete my entry this week. Another two challenges in one for Penny Black Saturday challenge and Copic Colour Challenge. This week, Penny Black's challenge was a sketch developed by one of the DT members. Below is the sketch and Copic Colour's challenge colors for the week:

Here is my entry:

I definitely have been in a Christmas mood. :) My last card was also Christmas themed.

The cardstock is from my stash. The background paper is from Imaginise called polar expressions (two-sided). The scroll pink border is from Queen and Company. The felt poinsettias, leaves and gemstones are from Hero Arts. I used Penny Black's Holly Day critters for the critter and sentiment. I did use two the Copic Colour challenge colors. I came close to the olive and used G94 (grayish olive). I broke down and got the Copic Air brushing system ABS-1 and used BG09 to color the background of the critter. Love the air brushing system, don't know why I didn't get one a long time ago! I also used the At You Spica gold pen to highlight the hat and also added dots to the Nestabilities petitie oval scallop. I used the petitie oval to cut the critter.

Two challenges into one - Copic Colour Challenge and Friday Sketchers

Such a busy week for me last week with my parents in town and also visiting my in-laws for the weekend. Kind of behind, but getting caught up.

I am doing two challenges in one this week for Copic Colour Challenge and Friday Sketchers. Below are the colors and the challenge sketch for the week.

Here is my entry for the week:
Front of card:

Inside card:

A lot of the things I used were from items I got at the Scrapbook Expo last Friday. Background paper is from a company called Personal Sentiments (Navitivity and North Pole designs). The felt border and gemstones are from Queen and Company. The image and sentiments are from Hero Arts' new Christmas line. I colored the doll using the Copic Challenge colours and used E00 for the skin color of the doll. I used my Nestabilities large circle and scallop circle for the doll. The sentiment was done using my Nestabilities petitie oval scallop.

Scrapbook Expo - Santa Clara

I had such a great time today with my friend Johnnie at the Scrapbook Expo in Santa Clara. I got so much new stuff that I should be set until next year (I hope). One of the things that I purchased was a new Cricut cartridge called A Child's Year. I love the sillouettes and different shapes. Can't wait to use that cartridge for my daughter's scrapbook. :)

Copic Colour Challenge #24

Time for another Copic Colour Challenge! Below are the colors to use and my entry:

I only had RV02 and YG03 to work with. The background paper is from Heidi Swapp. The ribbon is from my stash. The stamp is from Penny Black's Fresh New Day, colored with C2. I used my Nestabilities small and scallop squares for the characters. I used RV02 and YG03 to color the flower gems (from Michaels).
