I Did It Creations Challenge - Favorite Embellishment

Happy Friday!  Welcome to another challenge from I Did It Creations (AKA Robyn's Fetish)!  As of this week, many designers and artists have joined the challenge and shop.  You will be seeing these designers over the next few weeks and I have to say, their designs are remarkable!  Check out the shop to check out their designs.  The 50% off sale for the images ends this coming Monday, the 31st!

This week's challenge is to create something using your favorite embellishment.  I have many favorites, but what I really like to use are ribbon and buttons.  No matter what type of project and if its for a boy, girl, man or woman, I can always count on these embellishments to make my projects add that special touch.

To enter the challenge to win a free image, create a new project using your favorite embellishment.  Be sure to let us know what your favorite embellishment is. Link your project (not your whole blog) in the comments section of the challenge blog.  You have until midnight Thursday, June 3rd EST to enter!

Here is my card with the first designer from the newly I Did It Creations store - Glitterbabe:

I chose to use "glass of flowers" as my choice of image for my card.  I love how simple it is, but can be used for any occasion.

Supplies:
Bazzil cardstock
Basic Grey designer paper
May Arts brown ribbon and red twine
Basic Grey button
"Glass of Flowers" was cut using my Nestabilities labels die-cut and colored with the following Copic colors: Y17, R37, E08, and YG63

Tellen's Place Wednesday Challenge - Pink and Brown

Happy Wednesday!  Welcome to another challenge from Tellen's Place!  It was great to see everyone's entries for the beach theme last week!  I wish the warm weather would come here soon in California! :)

This week's challenge focuses on two of my favorite colors: pink and brown.  I used these exact colors when I had my daughter's baby shower over two years ago.  Love the colors - classic and stylish.

To be eligible for the challenge, your project must contain the colors pink and brown as the focus colors.  You may use any image, but if you have Tellen's Place images, bring them on!  If you don't have one, the wonderful owner Terry has a freebie that you can use that is on the challenge blog.
Or check out the store for more images! Link your project (not your entire blog) over at the challenge blog to Mr. Linky.  Challenge ends on Tuesday, June 1st at noon.

Here is my card for this week's challenge:

Supplies:
Bazzil cardstock
Basic Grey designer paper
Martha Stewart border punch with May Arts ribbon and gems from my stash
EK Success corner punches

A New Design For A Birthday Greeting

This week's La-La Land Crafts' challenge is to create a birthday themed project.  Instead of just doing another card, I thought I would try something different.

Here is my entry - a party hat tag with Pepper With Cake:

I couldn't find my mini stand, so I had to photograph the tag lying flat on one of my kitchen stools.  Took the picture a couple of times, but still ended up with a little more light than I wanted. :(

Supplies:
Bazzil orange cardstock
Imaginisce designer paper
Best Creations designer paper (all the sentiments)
Party hat was cut using my Cricut Cuttin' Up cartridge (measures about 5")
Pepper was cut out using my Nestabilities petitie oval and petitie oval scallop
Pepper is doning a hat cut out from the Imaginisce designer paper and colored with the following Copic colors: E33, E35, R37, B23, C5 and the colorless blender

Tellen's Place Wednesday Challenge - At The Beach!

It's Wednesday!  Time again for another Tellen's Place challenge!  Thank you to all of those who participated in the "Tag It" challenge.  It was great to visit everyone's blog to see takes on different tags.

For this week's challenge, since we are almost in summer mode, the challenge is "at the beach." Your creation should have a beach theme to it. Think sand, sun, surf, the ocean!  Be sure to link your creation (not your entire blog) over to the challenge blog to good ol' Mr. Linky by next Tuesday, May 25th at noon PST.

I haven't done a scrapbook layout in awhile.  I thought this challenge would be a good one to do to have ready when me and my family hit the beach this summer.

I used a lot of materials from my old stash for my page, which was good as I am trying to use up my stash.

Supplies:
Bazzil cardstock
American crafts designer paper
Embellishments from Jolee's
Letters from Colorbok

Edward and his friend playing in the sand were colored with the following Copic colors:
E00, YG63, E37, Y17, B45 and E33

Jessica and her friend in their cute bathing suits were colored with the following Copic colors:
E00, YR04, Y17, E37, YG63, R20 and the colorless blender

Be sure to check out the rest of the team's creation for "summertime" inspiration:

I would like to say a special "welcome back" to DT member Tanisha, who came home safely last month after serving in the Navy for sometime, with a special trip to Haiti to help out the quake victims there. Glad you are back Tanisha!

Tellen's Place Wednesday Challenge - Tag It!

Happy Wednesday!  It is time for another Tellen's Place challenge.  This week's challenge is called "tag it!"  Have a tag in your project.

To enter the challenge, include a tag in your project.  You may use any image you like, but if you have some Tellen's Place images, why not show them some love. :)  Or go to the store and see the images available for purchase.  Submit the link to your project (not your whole blog) to the wonderful Mr. Linky on the challenge blog.

Here are the tags I created for the challenge:

I thought these would make great bookmarks for my husband.  He is always borrowing mine and never gives them back! :)

All the materials except for the tags (from Michaels) are from Tim Holtz.  I love his products a lot and don't use them a lot, which I should. :)

The first tag is with Balloons Edward, colored with my Copics.  I used a mix of Tim Holtz's Dusty Concord and Stormy Sky distress inks.  I used Tim Holtz's "mask" of a compass and added the inks on top of the mask.

The second tag is with Birthday Edward, colored with my Copics.  I used a mix of Tim Holtz's Walnut Stain, Antique Linen, and Vintage Photo.  I used Tim Holtz's "mask" of sprockets.
